CEES Fellowship Program – CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

or the fall 2022, the Center for Eastern European Studies (CEES) at the University of Zurich offers 5-6 residential fellowships to highly talented and innovative young or mid-career scholars from the field of social sciences or humanities with a research focus on historical or contemporary topics related to Russia, Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, or Central Asia.

Nora-Pfeffer-Literaturwettbewerb 2022

Der Literaturkreis der Deutschen aus Russland und das Bayerische Kulturzentrum der Deutschen aus Russland schreiben einen Literaturwettbewerb für junge Autorinnen und Autoren aus. Ein Literaturwettbewerb für junge Autorinnen und Autoren im Alter unter 40 J. Eine unabhängige Jury, bestehend aus etablierten AutorInnen, wird sich der eingesandten Beiträge annehmen und je einen Preisträger in folgenden drei Kategorien bestimmen: Prosa, Lyrik und Essay.

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Literature and Culture Title Postdoctoral Fellowship in Literature and Culture School Faculty of Arts and Sciences Department/Area Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies Position Description The Davis Center Postdoctoral Fellowship program offers comprehensive research, training and professional development opportunities for scholars advancing their careers in the humanities. Fellows pursue their research with support from an interdisciplinary community of experts and with access to world-class resources. The program provides scholars with experiences and connections that endure well beyond their fellowship year. About this position: • 9 month, full time, in-residence fellowship (September 2022 – May 31, 2023) • Stipend of up to $46,000 • $2,000 in additional research funding • Eligible for employee benefits, including subsidized health insurance • Citizens of all countries may apply The Davis Center will award one Postdoctoral Fellowship in Literature and Culture. Research proposals on topics related to the literature and culture of Eurasia are welcome. Ausschreibung Recherchepreis Osteuropa 2022

Die Berichterstattung aus Osteuropa stärken: Das ist die Idee hinter dem Recherchepreis Osteuropa. Der Preis wird 2022 zum neunten Mal vergeben. Er ermöglicht Journalistinnen und Journalisten die Recherche und Produktion zeit- und reiseaufwändiger Printreportagen für deutschsprachige Medien. Jährlich werden ein bis zwei umfangreiche Reportagen mit insgesamt bis zu 7.000 Euro gefördert.
