The discussion will involve following points:
– The responsibility of existing East European studies in the context of preparation and the outbreak of war.
– The necessity, possibilities and obstacles for ‚de-colonizing‘ terminology, geographic names etc we use when writing about Ukrainian history.
– The role of Ukrainian studies in re-thinking Russian, Polish, Jewish studies.
– What should be done (on both individual and institutional levels) to re-think and develop Ukrainian studies as a field of international academic research.
